Lawn Care Services
Treatments to Fit Your Unique Needs
Our lawn treatments are 100% customizable by you based on your lawn care needs and expectations.
Customers can choose from any one of our programs or a single treatment.
We offer various treatment programs that are sure to bring your lawn back to life—from basic to premium treatments.
Mowing
We mow our lawns with a straight line pattern radiating from the building on the property for a pleasing, uniform appearance. Trimming is done with a string trimmer to prune areas the mower cannot reach. Edging (see below) is available and can give a defined edge for a more manicured appearance. Any grass clippings are blown off walkways, driveways, streets, etc.
Once the mowing season is in full swing, we make an effort to maintain a mowing schedule as weather and conditions permit. Having a schedule ensures your lawn stays lush and lively while allowing you to anticipate the arrival of our lawn maintenance team.
Spot-Seeding, Lawn Repair, & Over-seeding
The Grassworks lawn maintenance team uses the highest quality seed mixes obtained from professional suppliers.
We will help you choose the best seeding options based on your needs, weather conditions, seasonal climate and after-care.
Sod
The use of sod provides immediate satisfaction – or as it has been described to us, “An instant lawn!”. However, this isn’t the only benefit to using sod.
Sod is quickly installed and provides prompt erosion control. It can be installed anytime between the spring and fall months and the roots settle quickly, allowing for heavy traffic earlier than seeding.
Proper watering and irrigation is required until sod is well established.
Core Aeration
With or without seeding
Core Aeration is a type of lawn aeration that reduces soil compaction by mechanically removing plugs (or cores) of soil. This creates a channel through which oxygen, water and nutrients can penetrate into the soil. Core aeration is commonly done in the spring or fall when the soil is soft enough for the core aerator to work properly.
Seeding after core aeration (if needed) is a great way to take advantage of the holes left by core aeration.
Proper watering and irrigation is required until sod is well established.
Dethatching
With or without seeding
Dethatching refers to the mechanical removal of thatch from a lawn. Thatch is a layer of dead turf-grass tissue.
The property owner should be aware that dethatching will cause the lawn to look less than ideal, however it will respond promptly after the dethatching treatment.
Edging
This service is performed with mechanical edging equipment that is run along the edge of cement surfaces (walk-ways, driveways, curbs, etc.).
Edging provides a cleaner, manicured appearance and is customized to your needs.
Monthly and one-time edging is available.
Slit Seeding
Slit seeding uses a machine to cut small slits into the ground.
This increases the percentage of germination, creating a thicker, more lush lawn.
